So after two complete months of no autographs, I felt odd. Tasmania is now officilly on my list of places that I'd like to visit one day even if its only for a few hours. The cave and the coast look spectacular. It reminds me of a show that I watched about the geography of Hawaii. Hawaii too is on my list.
Jill also sent along a whole packet gull of stamps. They all were so interesting. Some were about Heavy Haulers and others about animals and birds. The stamps were very unexpected, but very ineresting!

A Confession!

Well, I've finally come to the conclusion that snail mail is sometimes really really slow! Well not many are going to completely agree with me, but then I do live in Pakistan. God knows only how many times my mail is interrogated..., stopped and questioned! Then allowed to board its mailbag and head for me, only to be in front of some who fancy keeping a close eye on me! But then I am out of the ordinary, a 16 year old who gets more mail then the army general who lives next door.

So from now on I'll be merging my blogs to form one big blog about anything that lands in my mailbox, may it be an autograph from John Travolta or a miniature stamp sheet from Latvia.

And for those who fancy following or keeping a close eye on me,
Please do, I'll love the public attention!

This card came from Finland. But the special thing was the motion print stamp. The picture on the stamp actually moves when the stamp is tilted. A first in my collection!

After joining postcrossing, i did some googling. I then joined a postcard collectors group on orkut. I saw a topic by an Indian person wanting to swap postcards. I in no time replied and got to know an Indian person who introduced me to philately and is still on good terms.

This was definitely going to get me arrested for receiving mail from India. But my anticipation was once again incorrect.

This was my very first postcard which arrived exactly 15 days after I'd joined postcrossing.com. The amazing fact was that it actually arrived. I couldn't believe it. I had no clue about postcrossing until a random search on Wikipedia came up with an article on postcrossing. I thought that my mail would be stolen or handed over to security agencies for thorough checking. But this postcard proved my anticipation completely incorrect and that thought too of me being picked up by the ISI.

I still remember that old postman ring my bell and proudly declare that this was the first postcard he'd delivered in 3 years!
